Sierra Leone certainly was a most interesting "theatre of war" back then and a shame he didn't talk about his "service" but was the same for my Grandfather-in-law who served in France/ Flanders during World War 1.<br />Grandie absolutely refused to talk about his war experiences, never marched in the ANZAC Day parades but was a long time member (I think President for quite a while) of the South Australian R.S.L.
