    I love Mrs. Beeton. I posted her plum pudding recipe last month for stir up Sunday. Her book is such a treasure! Love the illustrations.

    I'm happy you posted these, because living over here, I just didn't really know the name, Mrs. Beeton....she is surely much like our Betty Crocker maybe! Nice post!

    Gorgeous illustrations. We had stewed pears at Christmas, but ours were in spiced red wine - I wonder if Mrs Beeton’s were too!
