ReplyDeleteTerrific idea! My plan is to work on two family history books. I need to collect any memories I can from extended family members about my great-aunt who was a missionary in Alaska in the 1940s and hopefully some stories about her grandfather who survived the Civil War.

ReplyDeleteMy plan is to figure out how to tell my grandfather's story. I've been stuck in fact-gathering mode and after attending RootsTech this year, I've finally come to grips with the fact that I need to start telling stories...even if they are just snippets and not a full "book."
ReplyDeleteMichael it is easy to get stuck in fact gathering mode. Because genealogy is a detail specific hobby we naturally strive to be all inclusive and therefore hate to publish before it's all complete. If we do that we will never get it written! - Perhaps work on an anthology of your ancestors?
