Postcard Friendship Friday - Forge Normandy Surrey 1917

Welcome, to what is my first Postcard Friendship Friday.

This is a postcard taken in 1917 and shows employees at the Forge in Normandy. Normandy is a small village just north of Guildford Surrey England.

  1. I lived for years in Hampshire very near the Surrey border, but I never knew there was a village called Normandy!

  2. Its a small village, near Wanborough (off the A31 Guildford to Winchester) and Woking. I was born in Guildford and my Grandfather was born in Christmas Pie, which is part of Wanborough.
